My First Photograpy Presentation
This evening I had the great pleasure to make a presentation to The Ulverston Photographic Society.
I was delighted to receive a request by Trevor Ronson, the Programme Secretary, last July to make a presentation. We agreed the date of the 15th of February 2024. I began work on pulling together images hoping that I would have enough to fill 1.5 to 2 hours. I ended up with 213 slides and this with dialogue I slightly overran. I received such positive feedback about my images and about my presentation and I really enjoyed sharing my experiences with everyone. .
My presentation had to be postponed to this evening because, at the last minute, my father became seriously ill and he died on the 23 February 2024. This presentation was dedicated to him. I had so been looking forward to telling him all about it because he loved making presentations himself, most recently of his own poetry. I know he would have been very proud of me.
The advantage to this slight delay I was able to add some images from my recent holiday on the Isle of Harris with my dear friend Jen Spiers including some which have not previously been shared on social media.
With a big thanks to Ulverston Photographic Society for your hospitality and for agreeing to my request that a donation be made to St Mary’s Hospice in lieu of my fee so that it can be of benefit to those in need of their services.
