Yay! It’s Bluebell Season
Spring is my favourite time of year. I absolutely adore the vibrant greens and they tone perfectly with the spring flowers and particularly the bluebells.
I have been watching the bluebells in the hedgerows all week and have been scouring posts on social media to establish whether they have reached their best. Today I decided to venture out. This morning was a blue sky day and the light was very harsh so I waited until there was a bit of cloud in the sky and headed out to one of my favourite locations not too far from home.
My luck was in. When I arrived there was not another person in sight and I had the place to myself and time to explore possible compositions. It was just a case of waiting for the light to appear and thankfully there were a few brief moments to lift the scene. After a couple of hours of photographic heaven I decided to pack up.
This is the first of my images and I was really pleased with the affect of this ICM in which I followed the V of the tree to create a feel of hessian fabric.
